The Roots
Identifying the deep roots of our problems and solutions
“When solving problems, dig at the roots instead of just hacking at the leaves.” – Anthony J. D’Angelo
The roots of a tree go deep in the ground, to find and extract the nutrients and bring them up to feed the tree with the nutrient extracted from deep ground.
The aim here is to gather, analyze, synthesize, combine and vulgarize all relevant bodies of knowledge that are helpful to understand the global situation that we are in right now, and also to find the solutions that are accessible in order to help recover our global situation, overcome our human challenges and co-create the best potential future for all of us. In order to do so, we will take the time to identify and understand the deep roots of our problems, and based on this understanding to propose solutions that would trigger positive changes.
In this particular part, we will use all accumulated spirituality, knowledge and values that are relevant with complete openness and absolutely no boundaries or dogmas, bringing together, synthetizing, vulgarizing the essence of the knowledge needed for us to avoid or at least anticipate this global collapse. What we will focus on is the capability of the knowledge collected to help us understand our problems, identify solutions and create positive changes.
Spirituality will play a big role in our project, but it should not be seen from a dogmatic or religious perspective but rather as a tool to develop self-knowledge in order to reconnect to ourselves and transcend our primitive instincts. With this reconnection naturally grows the feeling of interconnection with other and our environment. So not only we get to be closer to ourselves through spirituality but we also can develop our level of empathy. Spirituality can also be understood as a search for the truth with the understanding that as we humans have very limited and relative perception of reality and that therefore dogmatic believes should be prescribed.
On top of spirituality, knowledge will play a very important part of our work, notably to make sure that we remain factual and logical in our approach. We plan to use all knowledge that helps us to develop our understanding of our problems and solutions, using various subjects relevant for humanity as a whole such as history, psychology, science, anthropology, sociology, technology, wisdom etc.
Our ‘values’ as mentioned before are extremely important and have to be nurtured and maintained in order to keep ourselves in the right direction and to avoid falling into the trap of sacrificing the interest of humanity in the name of private interest. Some are particularly important in our mission such as transparency (openness toward others in our actions), chivalry (courage in front of adversity, dedication, selflessness) and integrity (capability to stay honest and to develop and uphold strong moral principles; moral uprightness).
